The Kazakhstan Ministry of Defense contracted Globalink for the delivery of a Special Aviation Project consisting of military heli-copter’s, assembly modules and engines from Europe to Kazakhstan.
At the last minute, Globalink was advised that the helicopters and accessories had to be transported within 48 hours due to an urgent demand from the assembly facility. This was due to the facility being visited by the President of Kazakhstan. With no regular freighter connection to Astana, Globalink’s in house air chartering team swiftly arranged the chartering of a Boeing 747-400F as well as collecting the cargo from various European facilities and bringing them to Frankfurt airport. While the freighter was en-route to Astana airport, Globalink’s Astana team had already prepared pre-clearance procedures. With final customs formalities completed upon arrival, the needed trailers (positioned by our Road Transport Division) were in place for the final delivery to the assembly facility. The entire door to door operation took a little less than 48 hours and left our customers completely satisfied with Globalink.
