When a critical 170-ton power plant turbine rotor needed replacement in Uzbekistan, the project faced an immediate risk of shutdown. With no margin for delay and conventional transport options ruled out, the situation demanded an extraordinary logistics solution.
Globalink Logistics mobilized its global project logistics network to engineer a time-critical response. Coordinating closely with multiple international stakeholders, including the Antonov team, Globalink designed a custom loading frame to safely accommodate the oversized rotor inside the legendary Antonov-124 aircraft.
Within days, air operations, heavy-lift engineering, ground handling, and final site delivery were synchronized into a single, seamless operation. Upon landing in Tashkent, the rotor was discharged through a precision crane lift and transported on a modular heavy-haul trailer directly to the site—just in time to keep the project on track.
This was more than transportation. It was engineered logistics under pressure. When time runs out, Globalink delivers certainty.
