The “Too Big – Too Heavy” project cargoes movement is always a feast for Globalink Logistics, best known for the project logistics management in the CIS, Central Asia, and the Caspian Sea region.
Globalink was trusted to move six oversized power transformers, weighing up to 120 tons, from Derince, Turkey, to Qairaqqum, Tajikistan, for a power project. Delivering heavy, complex, and oversized cargo to a land-locked region like Tajikistan is never easy and requires inside knowledge and expertise. Globalink projects management team, with over two decades of project management experience, deployed their vast resources to complete the job safely and on time.
Scope of work included the road haulage from the shipper’s facility to Derince port, loading, lashing and transportation by a dedicated sea-river going vessel to the Caspian Sea port of Bautino, Kazakhstan and further delivery to a remote project site in Qairaqqum, Tajikistan. Upon the ship’s arrival in Bautino, transformers were discharged and loaded onto our heavy-haulage trailers for a 2500 KM long challenging journey to the project site.
Globalink project management team completed all project phases, including discharging the cargo on the foundation with the heavy-lift crane professionally and within the established time frame, despite all the difficulties caused by poor weather conditions and the Covid restriction. This project is yet another piece of evidence that when it comes to complex OOG movement in the Caspian Sea and the CIS, Globalink Project Logistics is always a partner of choice.
